Our client in Pemba is looking for an Instrumentation Technician to join their team for a job vacancy within the Mining Sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities on advanced instrumentation and control systems within the mining plant.
- Diagnose complex faults and perform advanced troubleshooting on PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Supervise calibration, loop testing, commissioning, and optimization of instrumentation and control valves.
- Review and interpret P&ID diagrams, control philosophies, and technical drawings to support plant reliability and performance improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with Mining Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ proven experience in instrumentation within large-scale mining or heavy industrial environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Advanced knowledge of calibration, control valves, field transmitters, and industrial communication protocols.
- Fluent English proficiency (technical reporting, documentation review, and professional communication).
