PSI Mozambique seeks an experienced Team Coordinator to lead implementation of a World Bank-funded initiative to strengthen the capacity of GBV service providers across Mozambique. The program, part of the Government of Mozambique’s EMPODERA initiative, implemented through the Ministry of Labour, Gender and Social Action (MTGAS), aims to improve the quality and harmonization of training for government and CSO providers, advance survivor-centered approaches, and consolidate a national network of adequately trained practitioners. This position is contingent upon funding approval.
The Team Coordinator holds overall accountability for the design, implementation, and quality of the consultancy. They lead a multidisciplinary team of specialists, manage relationships with MTGAS and World Bank counterparts, and ensure all deliverables are produced on time and to standard across a 15-month engagement spanning 11 provinces and 52 districts.
Principais Responsabilidades
- Provide overall supervision and strategic direction to the consultancy team, ensuring coherence across all phases of work.
- Lead the methodological design of the assignment, including the participatory diagnosis, training package development, and Training of Trainers (ToT) approach.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with MTGAS, the World Bank, and key program stakeholders.
- Oversee strategic planning, budgeting, and progress monitoring, ensuring compliance with World Bank procurement and reporting standards.
- Coordinate and manage a multidisciplinary team of specialists, ensuring clear roles, effective communication, and high-quality outputs.
- Lead the production of key deliverables, including the initial diagnosis report, national training plan, and consolidated final report.
- Negotiate and articulate at senior institutional levels across government, civil society, and international partners.
Requisitos
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Social Sciences, Public Health, Law, Development Program Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 12–15 years of professional experience designing, planning strategy, implementing, and managing large-scale programs in Mozambique or Southern Africa.
- Demonstrated experience supervising training package design and implementation of capacity building processes;
- Demonstrated experience coordinating complex consultancies with budgets exceeding USD 1 million, working directly with the Government of Mozambique, World Bank, United Nations, or international cooperation agencies.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English required; knowledge of local languages an advantage.
